The RLA has a new young Executive team, and the Association is undergoing a refresh with a new membership website and a more modern way of doing business. 

This event at Cuppacumbalong near Tharwa is in the new format where quarterly RLA meetings will be held at farms around the Territory. ACT farmers will host a social component with refreshments and influential guest speakers at a fitting locatin providing the chance to network and rub shoulders with invited VIPs. 

From 4:00 pm, our two guest speakers are the ACT Environment Minister Rebecca Vassarotti, who is speaking about progress on the Territory’s first ag policy and the internationally renowned Professor Mark Howden, who is talking about opportunities and challenges for farming in our region in future.

The social event will be followed by the 2022 September quarterly meeting and AGM from 6:00 pm.

Both events are catered, so RSVP to each is essential by registering through the website.

The RLA is looking to fill the position of sectary, public officer and treasurer. 

The RLA will also be taking nominations for committee members.

We must also fill positions on the Multi Hazards Advisory Council (paid position).
