Meat & Livestock Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers research, development and marketing services to Australia's red meat industry – including cattle, sheep and goat farmers. MLA has staff working across Australia and internationally - and about 50,000 members with stakeholder entitlements. Sarah Porter joined MLA about a year ago after about 15 years working as a journalist in Asia and Australia. Much of her public broadcasting experience was with BBC World in their Singapore bureau as well as with ABC News Canberra. She has a masters in journalism and an undergraduate in agriculture.
